The 'Weekly Backup' file and 'Daily Backup' file are two AppleScript applications to demonstrate a way to do scheduled backup.
Copy the 'Weekly Backup' file to the Shutdown Items folder of the System folder. Put an alias of Drag'nBack on the desktop. When the weekday is Friday it will ask the Finder to open the Drag'nBack alias on the desktop. If the weekday is not Friday then it will do nothing.
Copy the 'Daily Backup' file to the Startup Items folder of the System folder. Put an alias of Drag'nBack on the desktop. After the application is launched, it will watching the time. When the time of the day is between 4 PM and 5 PM it will open the Drag'nBack alias on the desktop. It will do this once a day.
You can use the Script Editor to modify the two files to suit your needs. For example, you can change the weekday in Weekly Backup or the time in Daily Backup.
Of course you can simply put an alias of the program in the Shutdown folder.
